Top Notch Turf, Inc. is a 1st-generation, family-owned sod farm based in Colbert, Oklahoma. What began in 2000 as a small operation on 95 acres of leased land has grown into a 2,200-acre, full-scale farming business delivering high-quality sod across Oklahoma and North Texas.
It all started with Lacey Weger and his mother, Madonna, cutting and loading sod by hand with a single harvester and delivering just eight loads a week in one truck. Every inch of sod harvested was touched with care — and that same level of dedication still defines who we are today.
Over the last 25 years, Lacey and his wife, Diana, have poured their hearts into growing Top Notch Turf into one of the region’s most trusted names in sod. Through land acquisitions, investments in modern equipment, and a commitment to doing things the right way, they’ve built more than just a business — they’ve built a legacy.
Rooted in Family
Top Notch Turf remains a true family operation.
Lacey Weger leads the day-to-day operations of the farm.
Diana Weger works part time at the office while she stays very busy with the family traveling a ton with racing and tractor pulling. She is always on the go and filling in where needed
Their sons, Kaden and Braxton, grew up on the land and now operate equipment with pride — from tractors to dozers to harvesters.
Franky Weger, Lacey’s father, still mows daily well into his 80s.
Madonna, the original partner in the business, continues to support the crew with meals, parts runs, and anything else needed to keep the farm moving.
Jake, Lacey’s nephew, is not only his right-hand man but also his partner in WS Farms, LLC, a 530-acre joint venture in Bokchito, OK.
